This series of emails started off as a personalization test to see how much the Kohl’s customer would engage with non-promotional content (and to gauge how much fashion cred Kohl’s had). Turns out there was a lot of love for the inspo and the ability to put together a head-to-toe look all in one trip. We know because the customer told us so—with their credit card. So we honed the plan to send even more targeted content based on shopping patterns. The emails gave our customers’ closets a boost and our sales a lift. Win-win!
